We are often out and about in the community or in schools running mobile bike workshops. We call these ‘Bike Dr’ events as we can give bikes a good check up as well as doing minor repairs out and about. We turn up on our cargo bike with all the tools and spare parts, labour is then free for the customers and they only have to pay for parts eg £1.50 for a cable / £5 for an inner tube.
We have contract with the council to deliver FREE bike repair sessions in Bitterne Precinct and various primary schools. As of Summer 2023 we will only be at Bitterne Precinct on the first Wednesday of the Month 10-2pm opposite Staceys Shack. We still have other ad-hoc bike dr sessions in the community but not on a regular bases eg Weston Shore, Hinkler Park, Veracity Rec, Mansbridge as well as local Secondary Schools in term time: Weston Secondary, Oasis Mayfield and Woodlands.
Your school or community group can hire our Bike Dr service from just £35 per hour. We have successfully delivered Bike Dr events at local schools such as Oasis Mayfield, Oasis Sholing, Sholing Juniors, Woodlands and Kanes Hill primary. Our community events include events for SO18 Big Local, Roundabout Cafe Swaythling, Sholing Valley Study Centre and Weston Youth Project.
